STEM Mentoring Program

The STEM Mentoring Program is part of the Service Distinction Program at CNU. Dr. Sara Lenhart took over the program in 2014. CNU students mentor/tutor at Crittenden Middle School in Newport News. On Tuesdays, CNU students tutor Math 6, 7, and 8. On Thursdays, CNU students tutor Algebra and Geometry. CNU students tutor on one or both days from approximately 3:15-4:30. There are about 20 sessions each semester.

Eligibility

Any student who does NOT have a Tuesday or Thursday class at 3 p.m. or 4:30 p.m. is welcome to tutor.

Notes

All student work and supplies will be provided. A CMS teacher will be there for questions and assistance. Dr. Lenhart can help with transportation if needed.
